Eric McClendon, MD, PhD, is a board certified physician who specializes in cardiology and treating cardiovascular disease. He has special interest in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and structural heart, and extensive experience in cardiac catheterization, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, and nuclear, echo, exercise, and pharmacological stress testing. A native of Jackson, MS, he earned undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees in chemistry from Jackson State University. Dr. McClendon has worked as a clinician educator to student physicians in the division of cardiovascular disease at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine and as a staff physician at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. He joined Baptist Medical Group in 2021.
